Chicken Soup For The Soulless

Officially, today is my last day working at my present company. I can’t lie and say that I’m happy about leaving… but I’m not mad, either. Really, I’m just a little bit sad because I did like working with the people I worked with. Alas, the economy and the decision to close the local office pretty much overrode my boss’ desires… after months of fighting the rest of the EC, he was overruled.

Eh, I understand. Business is business. Still, I’m out of a job that I really dug. That always stings.

So what now? I don’t know yet. I’ve been looking and applying elsewhere (I am not one to waste time) but I’m sort of wondering if I’m not done with this IT thing. Now isn’t the time to decide that, though. I’ll give it some thought over the next few days, see where I want to go with it.

Anyway. If I seem sullen and depressed, smack me.
