Dream of Impending Battle
Thursday, October 8th, 2009Dreams are weird. I’m typing this entry in disjointed fashion on purpose, just to give you an idea of the difficulty I had remembering it. I suspect watching Torchwood had a lot to do with the whole thing… that and the ambient pressure of working back into being social after years of anti-social behavior.
Last night, I dreamed that we (we being the people I know; if you’re reading this, you may have been there) were preparing for a battle. I don’t remember why; I just remember that there was a sense of urgency. I also recall that this was our sedon battle, and it was somewhat unexpected… it was to be a surprise attack, but we’d found out about it. Also, we weren;t the only people involved, but we were… I dunno, vital? Yes. We had heroic potential.
We were planning in what looked like an unused public school classroom. I’d say a college classroom, but the desks were too small to be meant for adults. I’d guess… middle school? At the end of our meeting (which I do not remember at all), I offered to go out to buy ammunition. Most of you wanted 9mm ammunition, I know that. Me, I had to buy for my .50 caliber handgun… which I’ve sketched as the one thing that stood out about the weapons. (more…)
