Super-Awesome
These are my heroes. Because regular people are… well… regular, my heroes tend to be fictional. I make no apologies.
#1 The Doctor - If you don’t know who The Doctor is, shame on you. I’m specifically referring to the modern Doctor from the Doctor Who series… incarnations #9 and #10 specifically.
Why? Well.. mix a super-genius brain with an affinity for technology, toss in a whole lot of purpose concealed by a somewhat silly personality. Bury buckets… and I mean buckets… of angst underneath a normally calm exterior, and stir in tons of secrets. Overlay compassion and hide a furious, vengeful, world destroying urge in the deep recesses of a mind… …and you have The Doctor.
I can relate. The urge to do good, thinly balanced with the urge to destroy. That’s how I feel, most of the time.
#2 Jesse Custer - The Preacher. One a one man quest to hold God accountable for the mess He made of His creation. Whether you believe in God or not (and I think I’ve made my position on that as clear as you’re likely to get,) the idea of a guy willing to hold a being of almost limitless power responsible for creating a world in which pain, hate, and evil often win… well… that’s just awesome.

#3 Charles Ofdensen - Manager of Dethklok and uptight accountant nerd on the surface, uber-badass and cold, calculating bastard on the inside. The man can fence, survive being thrown out of a window by landing catlike, eliminates threats to himself and Dethklok with brutal efficiency… Shaft has nothing on THIS badass motherfucker.
If I were to give in to my darker nature, this is how I would like to be. Loyal, awesome, brutal, and above all.. still a nerd.
