Things What Need Doin’
Book Learnin’
Learn Spanish - I want to learn Spanish… one, because I’ve taken the class and I remember very little (who hasn’t?) and two… knowing two languages is better than one. I considered Quenya, but that’s just too nerdy for words. What is Quenya? Erm… Tolkien elvish.
Improve Math Skills to Calculus Level – I have always been bad at math. I can accept that I have limitations when it comes to mathematics, or I can push myself to learn what I’ve never learned in the past, disregarding what I’ve always perceived to be my own personal limitations. Which do you think I’m going to pick?
Complete 12 IT Tests in 12 months – This is progressing. two tests are done (as of February) and another is slated for the end of March. Done: 70-646, Security+
Adventurer Skills
Learn to Play Guitar Competently - I have no practical reason for wanting to do this, but it seems to be something fun to do. I really wish I could sing… but I don’t think I have the pipes for it. Therefore, rocking out (or competently strumming out) will have to do. The most skill I could see developing here is enough to sub for mediocre local bands… but in this case, I can live with mediocrity. It’s just for fun, right?
Pilot’s License – For running drugs, duh! No, not really. Too slim a profit margin for the risk. I’m tired of the airlines, so why not do something about it?
Motorcycle License - Aside from the savings on gas, the awesomosity of motorcycles, and my complete and utter lack of regard for my personal well-being… I just like motorcycles. They’re neat.
Acquire A Concealed Carry Permit - Because I can… and because I’m tired of bringing fists to the potential gunfight that is random violence. I’ve been mugged once. Next time, at least I’ll be able to defend myself with an appropriate weapon. A Smith & Wesson 500, perhaps?
Take fencing, Knife-Fighting, or Other Bladed Combat Art - Because it pays to learn hand to hand combat, always. Fencing actually appeals more than katana or broadsword, but then… it’s been stylized out of being actually… you know… useful.
Inexplicable Stuff
Volunteer for Medical Testing - Just once, just to say I have. Whaaaaat?
